Asheville is located near the Blue Ridge mountains and is a fun place to visit! The downtown area has so many unique restaurants and shops. I found three fun ideas of places to explore while you are in the area. But before I get to those, check out the map below:
1.) Double D’s Coffee and Desserts
This cool bus has an upstairs, downstairs, and patio where you can enjoy coffees and desserts:
Okay, here are three more ideas that I found in my newest AAA magazine:
2.) Biltmore Estate rooftop tour
This is a 60-minute guided tour where you can get amazing views from the rooftops and balconies. You cannot see these areas on the normal house visit. Advance reservations are required and the fee is $19 per person. Tours are offered at 10:30 a.m. or 3:00 p.m.
3.) Asheville’s Salt Cave & Salt Spa
An ancient treatment that uses salt rock crystals to heal the body and promote balance. You can relax in a salt cave for a 45-minute session, experiencing music and color therapy. The website claims that one 45-minute session is equal to 4 days at the beach!

4.) Well Played Board Game Café
Meet up with friends at this new spot in North Carolina. Choose from hundreds of board games
and choose from a wide variety of craft beer, draft beer, wine, coffee drinks, snack packs (all the fun snacks you can think of), grilled cheese, desserts, and ice cream! Does this not sound like fun?
